After homeschooling my six kids for the past twenty-nine years, I am finely done. My youngest son, Teddy, has completed high school and is on his way to college. I never imagined when I started homeschooling in 1990 that I would still be at it until this year. I also could never have imagined that while I was finishing up my youngest son’s last few years of high school, my oldest daughter would be homeschooling her two oldest kids!
What will I do with myself now that I’m not teaching anymore?
Well, I’ve joined a gym, I volunteer for a few different organizations, and I am hoping to spend a little more time doing things like reading books and spending time with my friends and my grandkids. Homeschooling all my kids until they went to college has been my life’s career. I have never made a penny for all of the hours that I have invested, but my time and effort has paid off, and I am thankful now for a new chapter in life.
