Hi, my child is 9 months old. She has got her first tooth. So we are planning for her first visit to the dentist in a clinic in Kitchener. Her tooth is strong enough. Till now no signs of tooth decay has been seen. So my mother was asking what is the need of taking the kid to the dental clinic now. We should actually take the child to the dental clinic when the first tooth has erupted and should follow up after every six months. Actually, why should we take babies to the dental clinic at the small age? During my childhood, I was taken to the dental clinic for the extraction of my tooth at age of twelve. Why are they suggesting checkup in every six months? Please give me some genuine replies.
