How many mothers are here with autistic children? Although it is difficult to take care of such children, there are ways in which you can deal with such kids. Children with autism and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder tend to exhibit significantly different patterns of sensory processing to their peers and to children with other special educational needs. Occupational therapy is an effective method to improve the gross motor, visual motor, feeding and sensory needs of the baby. OTs can offer strategies for parents to better understand their highly sensitive child whose anxiety is quick to rise and slow to calm. So if you have an autistic child, instead of cursing yourself for having given birth to such a baby, get the help of OT’s to train the baby.
